Modified on Tue, 21 Nov 2023 at 10:05 AM

Connected System Requirements: Version 11.1.00 or greater.

The Work Order (aka Manufacture) "Staging" list, when enabled, is a custom list that helps track or tag manufacture work orders, depending on a predetermined flexible list of values. Some practical real-world examples for how this type of field can be used include:

  • Stages of Manufacture: Planning, Scheduling, Staging, Electrical Assembly, Combine, Quality Assurance, Complete
  • Production Status: Parts Shop, Machining, Assembly, Quality Assurance, Shipping

This field can be used as a filter in the Work Order Ledger, and a column added to the output.  It can also be added as new fields for the Manufacturing/Work Order form, on new custom forms.

Activating "Staging" Field and Custom Values in Manufacture/Work Orders

1. Open the I/C Defaults setup window.  (File -> Company Setup -> I/C Defaults).

2. Select the Manufacturing Tab and select the "Use Staging List" checkbox.

3. Fill in the values to be displayed in the drop down list in the Manufacture/Work Orders screen. The list Label, "Stages" by default, can also be changed and it will show on all windows that use the Staging List. It is set to "Stages" by default. In this example, it has the default value Stages.

4. Click Save to exit the I/C Defaults and save the changes.

The new custom list can be viewed and edited on new and open Manufacture/Work Orders, as shown in the following screen:
