Connected 10.3.x System Requirements

Connected 10.3 System Requirements (updated 01/01/2022).   Connected is a 64-bit application for macOS, PC, and SaaS/Hosted Cloud.  Connected supports macOS 12 Monterey, macOS 11 BigSur, and macOS Catalina with a 64-bit application.  Connected also supports the latest Windows 10 update.  Visit for previous version system requirements.

Desktop/Client Software

Connected is a 64-bit accounting and ERP application for macOS, PC, and Hosted Cloud.


macOS 

macOS Monterey/Big Sur Compatibility.  For any site to use macOS Monterey (macOS 12.x) or macOS BigSur (macOS 11.x), all macOS clients and/or server must run a minimum of macOS 10.14 (or greater) with Connected Version 10.3.5x and the Connected ODB Server Admin 1.75 (macOS) or the Connected ODB Server Admin 1.76 (PC).  There are no other supported configurations and it is mandatory to avoid application crashing and/or data loss.


System Requirements: 350 MB of free hard disk space, 4 GB RAM (8 GB Recommended), macOS 10.14 or greater.  Screen resolution of 1600x900 or greater. Retina Display support included for compatible screens.

 

NOTE: macOS Time Machine is not recommended to be running during the use of Connected on a workstation or server.  


PC – Windows 8,10, or 11

Min System Requirements: 350 MB of free hard disk space, 4 GB RAM, Intel i3 or greater processor, Windows 8, 10, or 11 (64bit) Professional. Screen resolution of 1600x900 or greater.  UHD display support included for compatible screens

NOTE:   All versions of Windows must be 64 bit or Connected 10.x cannot be installed.  


Connected 10.3.x Server/Network Configurations

The following section outlines the required server/network configurations based on the platform/client operating system that is accessing the Connected data file. NOTE: Ethernet is recommended for all multi-user versions of Connected. Although wireless networking options are available, they are not recommended.


macOS Clients with a macOS Server

Important: macOS Monterey/Big Sur Compatibility.  For any site to use macOS Monterey (macOS 12.x) or macOS BigSur (macOS 11.x), all macOS clients and/or server must run a minimum of macOS 10.14 (or greater) with Connected Version 10.3.5x and the Connected ODB Server Admin 1.75 (macOS) or the Connected ODB Server Admin 1.76 (PC).  There are no other supported configurations and it is mandatory to avoid application crashing and/or data loss.


1 User: macOS 10.14 or greater. Connected ODB Server not required.


2+ Users: Dedicated server running macOS 10.14, or greater, to serve data. Install and use the Connected ODB server software (version 1.75) on a server.  

NOTE: All multi-user versions of Connected 10.3.x that use macOS clients require the Connected ODB Server Software to host data on either macOS or PC Server.


NOTE:  macOS Time Machine is not recommended to be running during the use of Connected on a workstation or server.  


PC Clients with Windows Server

2-4 Users: Dedicated Windows 10 computer to serve data. NOTE: It is recommended that all multi-user versions of Connected use the ODB server software.
5+ Users: Dedicated Windows 2012/2016/2019 server (64 bit) running the Connected ODB server software (version 1.76) on server.  Contact Connected Support at (888) 414-2196 for more information on the ODB Server Software. 


NOTE: Write caching should be turned OFF on the PC workstations accessing the data.  This is not required for the server computer 


macOS and PC Clients with a macOS Server

2+ Users: Dedicated Windows Server running 64 bit version of Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012/2016/2019.   Install and use the Connected ODB server software (version 1.76) on the server. Contact Connected Support at (888) 414-2196 for more information on the ODB Server Software.


NOTE: All multi-user versions of Connected 10.3.x that use macOS clients require the Connected ODB Server Software to host data on either macOS or PC Server.
